My latest story in the Portland Phoenix is on how Maine Gov. Paul LePage is outsourcing the writing of his much-touted regulatory reform package to corporate lobbyists. They, not surprisingly, have the interests of their out-of-state corporate clients first in mind, the suffering small businessman: maybe not so much.MPBN's Susan Sharon beat me into "print" on how the governor's official "Phase 1" regulatory reform document has PretiFlaherty document numbers stamped on it. In this story, the governor's communications director confirms a top Preti lobbyist's role in the drafting of the regulations, and I show what their clients have gotten out of it so far.
And its not just Preti. Pierce Atwood's managing partner was in on the act, and their clients wishes made the list as well. Will be interesting to see who benefits from "phase two" and beyond.

Hello, Yes, we have found all details into office here in the STATE of Maine, with "OLD FOLKS, DINGYS, PUPPETEERS, GHOSTS, WICKED WITCHES, WHAT EVERS, "ROBOTS, WHOM KNOWS, what they are trying to design.!!"?? Can you imagine if we had "CELL PHONES in 1929 what we would off been able too do in the world and the "UNITED STATES of AMERICA"?? WHAT A MESS WE COULD'VE CREATED in HISTORY"?? Maine has more non residents that own Yachts, ships, Eastates of Realestates and they aren't even here to see or be at on location, it's really amazing how they "MILK" theses Venues and believe the "CROOKS that maintain this "GARBAGE" that MR. LEPAGE needs to be "TAXING in THE STATE of MAINE on its SHORELINES and DRY DOCKS and HARBORS in the STATE of MAINE!!??' Thank you, "GOD BLESS AMERICA>
